Music Camp June 12 - 14

Keep an eye out on Compass for information regarding the upcoming Music Camp in June. 

It is very exciting that this year the Music Camp has doubled in length of days and number of ensembles attending. Music Camp will prepare students for major events throughout the year including the Victorian School Music Festival, Annual Concert, Junior Soiree and much more. Students will work in small groups with instrumental tutors as well as complete full ensemble rehearsals. Each ensemble will complete the equivalent of months of rehearsals over the two-day camp experience. 

Group A - Wednesday 12 June to Thursday 13 June - Big Band, Jazz Ensemble and JS Choir 

Group B - Thursday 13 June to Friday 14 June - Year 7 Band, Year 8 Band and Year 9 Band  Group A and B - Members of both groups in Group A and B will attend all 3 days. 

Please ensure consent and payment is made via Compass as soon as possible. 

Jordan @ The Nationals Band Championship

Junior School Music Captain Jordan Doidge (right) will compete in the Australian National Band Championships over the Easter break in Adelaide. Jordan will perform with the Hyde St Youth Band on Euphonium in the Junior Brass Band section.  We wish Jordan all the best for this exciting opportunity and congratulate him on such a prestigious achievement!

Choir last call

The Junior School Choir has double in size this year, which is brilliant news for all involved. If any Junior School students wish to join the choir, rehearsals are held every Monday lunchtime in M Block.
