Principal's Update
Dear Parents and Carers,
Father's Day
On Sunday 6th September, we wish a very Happy Father’s Day to all our dads, stepdads, grandfathers and the special father figures in our lives.
Father’s Day is also a time to remember and treasure the memories of the fathers and father figures who are no longer with us.
God took the strength of a mountain,
The majesty of a tree,
The warmth of the sun,
The generous soul of nature,
The comforting arm of night,
The wisdom of the ages,
The power of the eagle’s flight,
The joy of a morning in spring,
The faith of a mustard seed,
The patience of eternity, and the depth of a family’s need,
Then God combined these qualities.
When there was nothing more to add,
He knew His masterpiece was complete
and so He called it Dad.
School Production: Forward to the Past
It is a very exciting week ahead for our School Production, Forward to the Past!
On Wednesday 9th September, all students will head to the Jubilee Centre at Trinity College for our dress rehearsal and final preparations before the big day. There will be two performances of Forward to the Past on Thursday 10th September at the Jubilee Centre, Trinity College. The children have been working incredibly hard during rehearsals and there is lots of excitement building around the school. The dances are looking amazing and we can’t wait to see everything come together on stage! Please keep an eye on ClassDojo for all important concert information, including performance times, arrival details and what children will need on the day. We are really looking forward to what is always such a special event for our school community.
Footy Colours Day
On Friday 11th September, our last day of term, children are invited to come dressed in their favourite footy colours. We will also have some fun footy food for lunch to celebrate the end of term.
A reminder that school will finish at 2:15 pm on this day.
Hats
It has been great to see some children wearing their hats this week as we move back into our SunSmart routine. There are still a number of children who are yet to bring their hat to school. We ask that all children please have a clearly named school hat at school by the beginning of next week.
School Uniform
As we move towards the end of the term, we would like to remind families of the importance of maintaining our school uniform expectations. Wearing the correct uniform helps create a sense of pride, belonging and consistency across our school. We ask families to please support us by ensuring children come to school each day in the correct school uniform, including the appropriate footwear and school hat.
We understand that occasionally there may be a reason why a child is unable to wear the correct uniform. If this is the case, please let your child’s teacher know.
Thank you for your support in helping our students wear their St Mary’s uniform with pride.
