This week, Newtown Primary School have been offered an exciting opportunity in partnership with the AFL and ID Collective.
On Monday, The AFL and various media will be visiting our amazing school for a special media call featuring Geelong legend Tom Hawkins! This opportunity has been presented by the AFL for our SLA students to be part of the official launch of the 2026 Premiership Cup Tour.

Our 2026 Trivia Night was a wonderful celebration of our connected and supportive school community. We wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone who donated, attended and supported the event. Your generosity and enthusiasm helped make the night such a success!
We are thrilled to announce that our event raised approximately $9.5k!
These funds will be put towards upgrading the outdoor furniture at our school.
We also would like to extend our gratitude towards our Major SponsorBerth. Geelong.

The countdown is on! Our Annual School Concert is just around the corner, and excitement is building. Our students have been working hard behind the scenes, rehearsing their performances and preparing to take the stage. We can’t wait to see them shine!

We would like to invite families of our Prep and Junior students to our annual open morning for specialist classes. This year we are able to welcome families into each specialist classroom on the morning of Wednesday, September 16th from 9-11am.
A timetable has been provided to help show the mini lesson schedule for the morning. No need to RSVP, just show up for the experience.

As we do every year, we tag our fundraising efforts to a major area of the school and seek to improve one overall key aspect. In the past, previous fundraising efforts have gone to revitalising the library space, contributed to new asphalt works and line marking, purchased new outdoor furniture, and more! Although we have our own ideas, we are keen to hear from our families as to what you think we might be able to improve, upgrade, or replenish! Please use our 'always on feedback' portal (linked below) to share your ideas! Thank you.
