From the Principal

Were you there when they shouted Hosanna!
On Monday our whole school gathered on the basketball court as we remembered Jesus' triumphant entry into Jerusalem, riding on a donkey. Juniors in LS1 led the service as we waved our palm branches and sang..."Sing Hosanna, Jesus is our King." Palm Sunday the start of Holy Week contrasts sharply with the somber events to come.
Were you there when he washed their feet?
On Tuesday we gathered in the hall and the Juniors from LS1 helped us to remember how Jesus poured water into a basin and washed his disciples feet. We are reminded that we too can serve and show kindness like Jesus.
Were you there for the Last Supper?
We had lots of families join us as LS2 Juniors helped us remember that Jesus had a last supper with his disciples and said, "Do this in memory of me." We continue to do this every time we gather to celebrate Mass.
Where you there when they arrested Jesus?
On Wednesday our seniors in LS3 lead the prayer service in the garden beside Yellow Learning Space. With the entire school and many parents as witnesses they reminded us of Jesus' despair as his disciples fell asleep in his hour of need and his anquish as he was betrayed by Judas in the Mount of Olives.
Were you there when they Crucified My Lord?
Seniors in LS2 led a very moving account of the crucifixation of Jesus. We paused to remember and give thanks. In the events of Holy Week we see ourselves at our best and at our worst. Jesus was beaten, abandoned, betrayed, arrested, beaten and crucified. Despite all of this his love will have the last word.
After the holidays we invite you to join LS1 seniors as we celebrate the Resurrection. Easter the promise of HOPE for us all. The call to walk in the footsteps of Jesus and never lose faith in the power of love to change the world.
Happy Holidays
We wish all our families a very happy and Holy Easter with your families. Enjoy a great Easter Holiday. We look forward to an exciting Term 2 together commencing on Monday 20 April.

Thank You Mary
We thank Mary for all her work with our children this term as our Environmental Education Specialist teacher. The children have loved their lessons with Mary. Our garden is flourishing and we cannot wait to harvest and make something with the produce we harvest in Term 2.
Mary is going to enjoy her retirement. However she may be tempted as she loves the children at St Francis de Sales. Could Mary take a leaf out of John Farnham's book!!
We will be doing some restructuring and will be finding a way to continue Environmental Education opportunities in Term 2.
Cross Country
The term has ended with our Annual Cross Country races. All our children have participated and earned points for their teams. The winners of each event (See the Learning & Teaching section) have been presented with a trophy and over the holidays will have their names added to these special trophies that go on display in our school foyer. We congratulate them for their great achievement. Senior students who have participated and placed will go on to represent our school in the Regional Cross country events next term.
Congratulations Patrick the winners of the 2026 Cross Country Award
