Principal Support Unit – Acknowledgement and Update

The Principal Support Unit (PSU) continues to play a critical role in supporting principals and school leaders across the system, particularly in complex and high-stakes matters. 

I would like to formally acknowledge and thank Brian Wheeler and Frank Sal for their outstanding contribution to the Principal Support Unit. Brian’s leadership and deep system knowledge, together with Frank’s expertise and steady counsel, have provided invaluable support to principals over many years. Their professionalism, judgement and commitment to the role have made a tangible difference to school leaders navigating challenging circumstances. We thank them sincerely for their service and the legacy they leave within the Department.

I am pleased to share with members that Jonelle White will take the position of Manager, Principal Support for a six-month period. Jonelle will commence at the start of March. Some of you may already know Jonelle from her various roles within the Conduct and Integrity Branch. She brings a breadth of experience, strong system insight and a pragmatic approach to complex work. I am very much looking forward to her joining the unit.

From the start of March, when Jonelle formally takes up the role, she can be contacted on 0402 436 330.
