What a busy time it has been since our last newsletter!
3/ 4 SOCCER GALA DAY @ FAWKNER PARK FRIDAY 1ST DECEMBER
The Year 3 / 4 students travelled to Fawkner Park to participate in Soccer Gala Day.
MATHEMATICS LEARNING
During their maths unit learning about 3D shape this term, the 3/4A created a brilliant city. You can view the finished product as you walk up the laneway onto The Deck.
5/6 A were also engaged in learning about shape this term and were presented with this problem during their mathematics learning this term.
‘You are assigned to a team that is responsible for planning the security requirements of upcoming events on the PM’s calendar. The first task you are given is to study the floor plans of buildings that the PM is scheduled to visit and determine the number of cameras that must be installed to secure them. In mathematics this is known as a visibility problem. You must install the fewest number of cameras that will cover the whole floor plan’.
Farewell Year 6!
Last week was a big week for our Year 6 students. It included a trip to Luna Park as a farewell excursion and a terrific Graduation on Thursday night. The Year 6 students created some reflections of their time at Windsor Primary School.
On Friday the 15th December we held a staff vs grade 6 dodgeball game to celebrate our graduating class of 2023 and to have a bit of healthy competition between us. The whole school were there to cheer us on too! Well done to the staff who won the game and were crowned the champions.
