Parents & Friends' (PFA)

Hello to our lovely St Anthony’s community, and welcome to 2026!

The PFA held our first meeting of the year on Tuesday 3rd February; not only our first with our new Principal Ru Lameijn, but we now have a new PFA President!  Sean Way is taking over from Naobh Deka and Kate Buick this year, so we welcome him to the team.

We’re doing things a little differently in 2026, and instead of two Co-Presidents, we are now seeking a Vice President to support Sean.  This is more of an assistant role, so requires less of a time commitment than the President role.  Please let us know if you’d like to help us to help the St Anthony’s kids have even more of a fantastic year!

If you are interested in the Vice President's position, please contact us as soon as practicable on pfa@santglen.catholic.edu.au.

The 2026 PFA Committee consists of the following parents:

Anna-Marie McGann, Naobh Deka, Patricia Ryan, Luci Sinclair, Iskra Petrova, Kelly Blake, Elena Kelly, Sean Way, Efra Chairul, Rebecca Rulla and Kate Buick.

Our 2026 Class Liaisons are:

  • Kelly Blake & Tricia Ryan: Prep, 1 and 2
  • Rebecca Rulla & Anna-Marie McGann: Grade 3 & 4
  • Sandra Tempes & Efra Chairul: Grade 5 & 6

To our 2025 Committee, we would like to thank you for your tireless efforts last year.

Things don't "just happen", they are meticulously planned and executed and this Committee has shown true St Anthony's spirit in the commitment to the school and our community in all the events which took place in 2025!  Thank you again for your dedication and enthusiasm.

We have so many fun events to look forward to in 2026!  In Term One we have:

  1. Pancake Day on Tuesday 17th February.  PFA volunteers will cook the pancakes for your children in the Padua Pavilion, and communications around dietary requirements will go out shortly.

  1. Next up we will have our Picnic on the Green (6pm - 8pm), which will be held after the Open Afternoon (from 4pm to 6pm - previously called Twilight School) on Wednesday evening 25th February.  After the wonderful success of last year, again we encourage families to bring a dish for the school community to share.  NO BBQ!!!  Strictly BYO Food & drinks - however we will be selling soft drinks and our ever popular snow cones.

  1. Finally in Term One we have the Easter basket raffle.  Later on in the term we will call for donations and also help to put the baskets together.

We hope you are all having a great start to the school year, and are looking forward to working together as a community to create memories for our kids!

Regards,

The PFA Committee
