Welcome!

Dear Parents and Carers,

I have now been in the role of Acting Principal at St Peter’s for five weeks. I want to thank our community for the welcome and support I have received since arriving at St Peter’s. I have really appreciated the warmth shown to me. I look forward to continuing to work with you to improve the learning experience for your children.

My purpose in this role is clear. I am here to improve the learning and lives of the students I am responsible for. I am also here to support staff and students to build a safe, calm and focused school, and to prepare St Peter’s well for the next principal when they are appointed.

At St Peter’s, everything we do is grounded in a shared belief that every child should experience success, belonging and growth. This reflects the wider work across Catholic Education Sandhurst, where the focus is on helping every student and family experience “life to the full.”

Over the past few weeks, I have been spending time in classrooms, getting to know students and staff, and working closely with Catholic Education Sandhurst to review how we are set up as a school. This has been an enjoyable and lifegiving time!

Foundation Siblings 2027

Enrolments for children of existing and new families who start Foundation/Prep in 2027 are open. Staff Professional Learning Day

Yesterday, our staff spent the day learning together about the CESL Cultural Covenant and how we can bring “life to the full for all” to life at St Peter’s. We also explored Magnify teaching strategies and routines, and how these can strengthen classroom practice and improve learning experiences for our children.

Over the next week I will be sharing with our community some exciting changes coming to St. Peter’s.
