Table Tennis U11 boys singles champion

Hi Everyone,
My name is Lucas J, from 5MJ, Mount View Primary School. In the recent Table Tennis Australia (TTA) Tour Sydney, I won gold medal in the Under 11 boys singles.
I started playing table tennis three years ago. Ever since then, I never stopped training hard, even on Christmas Day. With my great effort, I have gained lots of medals and trophies, but I have also experienced countless difficulties and challenges. I have once felt hopeless and upset. I even self-doubted. Fortunately, I never gave up. I always thought of the words again and again in my mind: Keep going, even when the world feels dark. Thanks to my persistence, I went through all the difficulties and I eventually made it!
This sport not only taught me perseverance, patience, and the virtue of never giving up, but also gave me the power of time management. I use scrap time during the breaks of table tennis to read books and news. I cherish every single opportunity to learn in the class. With the support of Mount View Primary School and my teachers, I attended the Kids News Writing Competition and won Highly Commended Prize. Thanks to my beloved school and teachers for everything! I couldn’t have achieved what I have today, both in sports and academics, without your guidance and help!
For the third year in a row, I’ll proudly represent Victoria in the National Championships this July. I truly understand the weight of this responsibility. I’ll keep training hard, and I’ll give it my all, fighting until the very end!
Lucas
