Principal's Message

Year 3 Concert

On Tuesday evening, we celebrated our Year 3 students who lit up the stage at their concert. Each class performed a song and dance, showcasing their growing confidence and love of the performing arts. It was wonderful to see so many families in the audience, supporting and celebrating their children.

A heartfelt thank you to our Performing Arts teachers, Ms Dimmattina and Mrs Barron, for their creativity, dedication, and guidance. We also extend our appreciation to all staff who attended the evening and helped make it such a special event for our students.

Keeping Our Students Safe Around School

I have had numerous conversations with concerned parents and staff  about unsafe driving behaviours around the school, particularly on Shepherd Road. Many drivers have been observed making illegal U-turns. Please be reminded that U-turns are not permitted where there is a continuous line marking on the road, which applies to much of the area around our school. These actions put others at risk and may result in fines.

We also remind all families to please use the designated pedestrian crossing. Too many students and parents are crossing directly in front of the school, which increases the risk of an accident and also models unsafe behaviour to our children.

It’s up to all of us to do the right thing and ensure the safety of our students and the wider school community.

Building Community Connections at Mount View

Our Community Engagement Sub-Committee is off to a great start and will soon begin developing plans to celebrate 60 years of Mount View Primary School in 2025. We’re excited to recognise this milestone to honour our school’s rich history and vibrant community.

A heartfelt thank you to the parents who have volunteered to be class representatives this year. We appreciate your willingness to support communication and connection within our school.

Families who indicated they'd like to be included in class buzz or community contact lists can expect a welcome email from their class reps soon. These connections are an important part of building a strong and supportive school community.

We look forward to many more opportunities to connect and celebrate together throughout the year.
