Windsor Fire Brigade Visits Prep

Our Prep students were incredibly lucky to welcome the Windsor Fire Brigade for two exciting visits over the past fortnight!

On Tuesday 21st July, firefighters visited the Prep classrooms to teach students about the importance of fire safety. The Preps learnt the important safety message, "Get down low and go, go, go!" and discussed safe meeting places both at school and at home. They also discovered how smoke alarms work and why they play such an important role in keeping us safe.

The following Tuesday, the firefighters returned with their fire truck! Students had the opportunity to walk through the truck, sit in the firefighters' seats, hear the siren, and even have a turn spraying the fire hose. It was an unforgettable experience that had everyone smiling from ear to ear.

The excitement didn't end there! Back in the classroom, students used their experiences to write detailed recounts of the incursion, sharing what they learnt and their favourite parts of this special visit.
