Student Wellbeing and Learning

Student Feedback Discussions - Student Agency Conferences, Student Support Group (SSG) and Progress Meetings
At Greenhills, we are committed to supporting every student to achieve success and reach their full potential. Student Agency Conferences are the prime way that we work as a team (Parents, students and teacher) to celebrate achievements, identify next steps and work together to build a plan moving forward. The Agency Conferences are for all students, and help us to feedback the progress of all students. We look forward to our next round of Agency Conferences in week 9 and will communicate more information around this in upcoming newsletters.
Outside of this time, some students require further additional support and monitoring. This is done through Student Support Group (SSG) Meetings and Individual Education Plan Progress Meetings. These are an important part of this commitment, ensuring strong partnerships between families and the school to support student learning, wellbeing and engagement.
Student Support Group (SSG) Meetings are held termly for students who receive additional funding support. These meetings are a requirement for all students receiving funding and bring together parents/carers, teachers, education support staff and, where appropriate, the student. SSG meetings provide an opportunity to discuss student progress, celebrate achievements, review goals and ensure appropriate supports and adjustments are in place. They also help guide future planning to maximise student success and participation at school.
For students who currently require significant classroom adjustments and may be potentially pursuing Disability Inclusion funding, Progress Meetings are held either termly or semesterly, depending on the student's needs. These meetings focus on reviewing learning and wellbeing progress, monitoring personalised goals, discussing classroom adjustments and identifying next steps to support continued growth. Progress Meetings provide valuable opportunities for families and school staff to work together to ensure learning programs remain responsive and tailored to each student's individual needs.
Both SSG and Progress Meetings aim to:
- Celebrate student strengths, achievements and growth.
- Review learning, social and emotional progress.
- Monitor personalised learning goals and adjustments.
- Strengthen partnerships between home and school.
- Ensure students receive targeted support to maximise their success.
We value the important role families play in these discussions. Your insights, observations and aspirations for your child help us develop a shared understanding of their needs and create meaningful goals for the future.
Thank you for your ongoing partnership in supporting student learning and wellbeing. Together, we can ensure every child is encouraged, supported and empowered to succeed.
