Our Kindergarten students have been busy exploring the wonderful world of storytelling as they begin their new writing unit inspired by Wombat Stew by Mem Fox. This much-loved Australian classic has sparked plenty of creativity, with students enthusiastically acting out scenes from the story and using puppets to retell the adventures of the clever wombat and the hungry dingo. These engaging activities are helping children build their oral language, sequencing skills, and confidence as young writers.

In Science, our budding scientists have started investigating the exciting topic of forces. Through hands-on activities and play-based learning, students are discovering how objects move and are learning to use scientific vocabulary such as push and pull. It has been wonderful to see their curiosity grow as they explore the world around them and make connections through observation and experimentation.

One of the highlights of the term was celebrating 100 Days of School! 

It was a day filled with laughter, learning, and celebration as students counted to 100, wrote 100 words, danced, and took part in a range of fun activities. The biggest treat was our special visit to Café Graze, where everyone enjoyed a delicious milkshake and cookie. Our Kindergarten students certainly brought smiles to many faces and made the day extra special for everyone they met. It was a memorable celebration of how much we have learned and grown in our first 100 days together!
