Education in Faith

Last Friday our students came together for a beautiful Prayer Service celebrating Mary, the Mother of Jesus. It was a special opportunity for our students to reflect on Mary’s faith, love and her important role in the life of Jesus.
Teachers took time throughout the day to lead the students in activities to learn a bit more about Mary, our school's namesake.

The celebrations continued with lots of fun and excitement with KABOOM! Our students enjoyed working together, playing games and participating in activities across our multi-age groups. It was wonderful to see the children smiling, encouraging one another and enjoying time together as a school community.

Our Confirmation Parent and Child Workshop was a wonderful opportunity for families to come together and continue their preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation. Families shared the gifts they see in one another and reflected together on the story of Pentecost and the coming of the Holy Spirit.
Father Alan spoke with our families about the origins of the Sacrament of Confirmation, explaining its meaning and importance in our Catholic faith. It was a meaningful time for children and their families to deepen their understanding of Confirmation and reflect on how the Holy Spirit guides and strengthens us in our faith journey.

In this week's gospel Matthew 16:13-20 Jesus asks each of us, “Who do you say that I am?” Like Peter, we are called to recognise Jesus as the Son of God and show our faith through the way we live and care for others.
