Hello from 2J

What an incredible year it’s been in 2J so far! One of our biggest highlights this term was our unforgettable excursion to Myuna Farm. This amazing experience connected perfectly with our Science unit on Living Things and gave us the chance to learn through hands-on exploration and lots of fun!

Our adventure began with a fantastic Farm Show, where we discovered all sorts of interesting facts about farm birds. We even got to pat a rooster or hen! We also learned about how goats are milked and had a turn ourselves.

After that, we enjoyed a scenic train ride, followed by a walk along the boardwalk where we spotted hundreds of fruit bats hanging from the trees – plus a few cheeky birds and even a possum!

Next stop was the animal nursery, where we fed, cuddled, and met the sweetest collection of animals – including some fluffy rabbits, goats and guinea pigs.

The fun continued as we explored the farm trail, feeding alpacas, sheep, deer, and even camels.

We ended our day in the vegetable garden, spotting a rainbow of fruits and veggies. Everyone had the chance to plant their own seeds and take home a little plant to nurture – the perfect souvenir from a fantastic day!
