Year 12 Ancient History

In Year 12 Ancient History students explored the events of the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD through hands on diorama projects. Using research and creative design, they modelled key features of Pompeii and Herculaneum, including buildings, volcanic ash, and the impact on people and the environment. 

This activity supported historical understanding, visual literacy, and collaboration, while helping students connect with the ancient world in an engaging and meaningful way.
