Week 2 Progress

We are already two weeks into the final term of the year - holidays now seem so long ago.

Mr Borges and I have been conducting the Mathematics Online Interview with the current Prep students as part of our Term 4 assessment schedule. It has been so rewarding to witness the levels of achievement and growth in mathematical knowledge by these students since they completed the assessment at the beginning of the year with Mrs Veteha. This is a testament to all of the hard work and planning by Mrs Veteha as well as other staff members that work with the students, but also the support and follow up work from families in supporting and reinforcing the learning that takes place at school.

With 9 weeks of school remaining I am sure there will still be many more achievements to celebrate before the end of the year.

Glasses for Kids

On  Monday and Tuesday of this week the Glasses for Kids team visited our school to conduct the vision screening for students who registered and provided parental or guardian consent. This program is free and is available for schools once every four years.

All students who were screened were provided with an outcome letter explaining the results of the assessment which has been sent home to parents.

For any students where glasses have been recommended this information has been included in the outcome letter. Those students have already selected their frames - glasses will be sent to the school within the next 3-4 weeks. A copy of the prescription will also be included as a reference for families.

Year 7 Orientation

The Year 6 students attending a government secondary college will attend their orientation day on Tuesday 9th December. This is an opportunity for them to have a full day of secondary experience in preparation for beginning Year 7 in 2026. More information will be shared closer to the date.

Have a wonderful weekend - here's hoping the weather is favourable.
