Ms Brea Terris

Dear Families,
As we wrap up a busy and productive first term of 2026, it’s been wonderful to reflect on how well our students have settled into school this year and the amazing job they’ve done with their learning.
It’s always a special time at the end of term to celebrate the progress they’ve made.
We’re really looking forward to seeing our families at the Easter Hat Parade next week—it will be a lovely way to celebrate and finish the term together.
School Photos
School photos will be taken on the first day back of Term 2. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Belinda in the office.
Please note that the office will be unattended from 8:30am that morning while staff have their photos taken.
Illness
As we head to the end of the term, we’re seeing lots of illness pop up.
To help keep everyone as healthy as possible, we kindly ask that you keep your child at home if they are unwell.
As a reminder, if your child has gastro symptoms (vomiting or diarrhoea), they must remain at home for 48 hours after their last episode before returning to school.
School Council
If you are interested in joining our School Council, I encourage you to Tim Dunstan or I for a conversation about what the role involves. Nominations for School Council are open.
School Council AGM
On Monday evening SHNPS School Council will hold their AGM. All members of the community are welcome to attend. The 2025 Annual Report will be presented.
2027 Enrolments
If you know of any families who would like a tour of the school, please encourage them to contact the office.
Keep an eye out for our 2027 enrolment information!
Thank you to our families who are getting the good word out in the community about our school. 'Word of mouth' is the most powerful form of advertising and consequently, we are fielding many enquiries about our school.
It has been amazing to see so many potential families tour our school.
Duty of Care
Families are reminded that teachers are on duty before school from 8.30am-8.50am and after school from 3.20pm until 3.30pm. Children should not be unattended in the school grounds before or after these times. Thank you for your support and co-operation with this.
Thursday 2nd of April is the last day of the term with an early finish of 2:15pm. We wish all families a restful break and are excited for Term 2 to commence on Monday 20th April.
Have a lovely weekend.
Kind Regards
Brea
