Week 9
This week we are celebrating the amazing school we are as we near the end of the term. Our students and teachers have all worked so hard this term and settled into 2026 so well.
Today we celebrate World Maths Day!
World Maths Day focuses on the theme "United by Numbers" to celebrate our love for all things Mathematics! We encourage our students at MGPS to have a positive mindset for maths and encourage everyone to talk positively about how we feel about maths because our own experiences can impact the way our students feel towards mathematical learning. We love Mathematics! Try this family fun!!
Here is a link to a game you can play at home. This is a great website for parents for maths support too. We look forward to hearing your answers and sharing them next week.
Harmony Week
Last week we celebrated that we are all unique with Harmony Week.
In Harmony Week we celebrated our diversity and different backgrounds that make us unique.
It’s about inclusiveness, respect and a sense of belonging for everyone.
This week we celebrated Harmony week with a gold coin cupcake sale to raise money for the year 6 dinner and on Friday, students dressed in orange to show support and celebrate Harmony week.
Autumn Festival
On Saturday we were part of the Armidale Community of Public School Float for the Autumn Festival parade.
I was so proud of our MGPS representation and how they proudly represented our school and Public Schools in Armidale with non stop waving and smiles!
Kids Literature Quiz
Congratulations to our selected Stage 3 students who attended the Kids Literature Quiz at Armidale City Public School. The quiz questions really tested their literature knowledge. Ollie was lucky enough to walk away with $5 answering a question on Thor.
A huge thanks to Armidale City Public School for hosting today and Mrs Raftery for being our quiz master.
