Home run heroes!
What a term it's been at Preston on the sporting front. Our students competed in sports including tennis, volleyball and swimming, showing their skill and teamwork with great results.
Congratulations to Cohort 2029, 2028-2027 and 2025-2026 for all progressing to NMR Baseball after smashing it out of the park in the Divisional competition.
On the tennis court, our Cohort 2027-20278 Girls team served up another incredible win to progress to NMR, with our Boys/Mixed team narrowly missing out on making the final on the day.
Our swimmers also dived into success in the pool at Divisional. Congrats to all students for their outstanding efforts and an extra pat on the back to those students who placed in their events and qualified for the next round!
Our Cohort 2027-2028 Volleyballers also set up a great day for success. You can see the Boys B team in action above, demonstrating our Kingfisher spirit at Divisional.
Looking ahead to next term, we have our whole school Athletics Day in Week Two. Students can participate in as many events as they like on the day and are strongly encouraged to wear their house colours. We'll provide more information after the term break!
School swim carnival success
Sunny skies, stellar swims, silly costumes and stacks of school spirit added up to a stupendous day by the Coburg pool when Preston High School held its 2025 Swimming Carnival earlier in the term. All the races - including the novelty events - were fiercely contested, with 24 students qualifying to represent our school at the divisional swimming competition. Here's a selection of photos from the day:
