Remembrance Day Service 2026
The Roselea Remembrance Day Service for 2026 will be held on Wednesday 11th November, commencing at approximately 10:30am, under the COLA. On this day, we will commemorate our past and present Defence Force personnel. All students in our school will attend and our school band will play.
Students who are in a service group outside of school, such as Cubs, Guides, Scouts or Brigades are most welcome to wear their service uniform on the day. Also, students may wear family service medals, if you wish. On the day, all students will wear a special felt poppy, made by a former parent, Mrs Jennifer Kingman, who will be a special guest at our service. The poppies are either red, white, black or purple. Red represents fighting and support personnel, white represents medical personnel, black represents those who have died during war, including civilians and purple represents the animals which have served in the armed forces.
Children of current serving Defence personnel may bring a small posy of flowers to place at the bell tower, alongside the Roselea wreath.
We would like to extend an invitation to all our school community, to join us for this special service.
