Assistant Principals' Report

Rae Gittos & Matt Kirkright

Welcome Back to Term 4!

We hope everyone enjoyed a well-deserved break and feeling refreshed and ready for an exciting final term of the school year.

There is certainly plenty happening across the school, with a busy and action-packed term ahead. Foundation, Year 1 and Year 2 swimming commences next week, with Year 2 students attending swimming each Wednesday, and Foundation and Year 1 students attending each Thursday at Jump! Swim School in Whittlesea . We look forward to seeing our junior students develop their confidence and skills in the water throughout the program.

We are also looking forward to our Monstar Colour Run on Wednesday 25 November, which promises to be a fun-filled day for our students and school community. See details below.

For our Year 6 students, Term 4 marks the beginning of their final term of primary school. Graduation planning is well underway, and we look forward to celebrating this special milestone with our graduating students and their families on Thursday 10 December.

Our classes have also begun preparing their Christmas Carols for our End-of-Year Christmas Assembly on Wednesday 16 December. We can't wait to see the creativity and enthusiasm our students bring to their performances as we come together to celebrate the end of another wonderful year at Whittlesea Primary School.

Finally, we are pleased to announce that Breakfast Club recommences on Monday 12 October at 8:00am in the Gym. We look forward to welcoming students back for a great start to the school day.

Term 4 promises to be filled with lots of learning, celebration, connection and plenty of wonderful memories!

We look forward to welcoming Kaylene back to the Principal desk next week after a short period of leave.

Have a great weekend, Matt & Rae.

We're Going Gaga

Our newly installed Gaga Pit has already become a huge hit with students across Whittlesea Primary School!

Since its arrival, students from Foundation through to Year 6 have been enthusiastically embracing the opportunity to play Gaga. The pit has quickly become a popular place to connect with friends, be active and enjoy some friendly competition during break times.

It has also been fantastic to see students putting our school expectations into action while playing together. Students have been demonstrating respect, including others, taking turns and playing fairly, helping to create a positive and inclusive environment for everyone. A big thank you to our students for showing that we can have fun, compete and enjoy our new facilities while still looking out for one another.

Colour Run with a Difference - 42 days to go!

After a wonderful nine-year partnership with School Fundraising, we would like to thank them for their support of Whittlesea Primary School over the years. With the owners retiring at the end of 2025, we are excited to begin a new partnership with Australian Fundraising and launch our Monstar Fun Run on Wednesday 25 November! Fingers crossed for a sun-filled day of fun as our oval is transformed into a sea of colourful explosions.

Students are encouraged to get their white T-shirts ready and prepare for plenty of running, laughter and colour! It’s sure to be a monster-sized day of fun that our students won’t forget! Make sure you check your child's bag tonight for more information about creating a profile and fundraising for our school. Here are some important dates:
