Staff Parking
We request that parents please do not park in the car parking area at the top of Smith Street, as this is designated for staff to park during the day. Thank you.
Spare Clothing
Please pack some spare clothing for your child/ren. Especially with the start of the year and Winter approaching, children can have accidents or end up very wet/muddy. We have a limited amount of clothing in sick bay and cannot always give children spare clothing. If your child is excessively wet and muddy you will be contacted and asked to bring in a change of clothes.
Curriculum Contributions
Please see below letter for details relating to the 2026 Curriculum Contributions:
Curriculum Contributions are items and services which are essential for your child to learn the standard curriculum. Macedon Primary School purchases these items in bulk at the commencement of the year so they can be provided to parents at a significant discount, as well as ensuring all students have the same stationery.
Within our school this support continues to allow us to:
- Offer a wide range of special curriculum experiences for our students across all year levels.
- Paint classrooms, corridors and the administration area.
- Upgrade and purchase additional IT devices.
Refurbish school grounds including upgrades to the Eco Shed, sustainability and fairy gardens at Middle Gully Reserve.
Increase the number of readers in classrooms and library books to support our reading program and new library.
We welcome your Curriculum Contributions, along with your other Voluntary Contributions towards Buildings & Grounds (including Middle Gully Reserve) and/or the Library for 2026, however if this is not possible, we ask that you consider contributing in other ways such as working bees, contacting the School for ad hoc job opportunities or assisting with PFA fundraising.
All records of voluntary contributions are kept confidential as well as your decision about whether to contribute or not.
Working With Children Checks / VITs
Would all parents please ensure their WWCC is current prior to nominating to help with activities during camps, excursions or any child related activity. It is a legal requirement for those assisting with child activities to hold a current WWCC (either volunteer or employee) OR a current VIT card (for teachers).
WWCC applications are free for volunteers and can be obtained online at https://www.workingwithchildren.vic.gov.au/.
Thank you,
Julie and Salina.
