Dear parents and carers,
What a stunning week of weather we have enjoyed to begin Term Two. The sunshine has matched the feeling amongst the school as students have settled back into their learning routines.
Our students took pride in their school uniform on Tuesday when they had their school photos taken. The photographers complimented our students on the way they followed instructions, looked after their paper slips and shared their smiles. Thanks to the team at SchoolPix and Jude Prosser in the office for their coordination of the day.
ANZAC Day and March
Saturday is ANZAC Day and our school has again been invited to participate in the Longbeach RSL Sub-Branch’s Day Service and March. Our school has an annual tradition of students wearing their school uniform and joining in a short march along Station St in Chelsea with many other community groups to honour those who have served in conflicts throughout our history.
If you would like to join us on Saturday, we are meeting at the intersection of Sherwood Avenue and Station St in Chelsea at 9:10. The march begins at 9:30 and proceeds to the cenotaph outside Chelsea City Hall in Station St. This will be followed by a service where two of our school captains will lay a wreath on behalf of our school community.
Our student leaders are supporting the ANZAC Appeal by selling badges and wristbands at the front of the school each morning and afternoon. Please note that they do not have change.

2027 Foundation Enrolments
If you have a child starting school in 2027, enrolments are now open. As of 2026, enrolments have moved online; the link is provided below. When you access the link, you will create an account and enrol your child from the account. This is a new process for schools in our area. If you would like assistance, please contact the office and we are happy to help.

If you know of a family who may be looking to enrol at our school, please direct them to this website.
Ramps Project Update
Work on our school ramps continues. Thanks to the builders for their ongoing work. Our students have enjoyed seeing a digger or two and over the next few days we may even see a cement truck. Please continue to be mindful of how we move around the school with several areas designated as construction sites by the temporary fencing.
The ramp work will continue in different locations across the school throughout the term.
We wish our Year 5 & 6 Lightning Premiership teams well as they head off to represent our school tomorrow. Thanks for continuing to showcase our school values as you enjoy a day of friendly competition with our local schools.
Enjoy the rest of the week,
Tom
