Welcome to Term Two
Right now, the Church is celebrating the beautiful season of Easter. Easter isn’t just one day, it lasts for 50 days, all the way until Pentecost. That means we spend this whole time remembering that Jesus is alive and with us. Easter is the happiest season of the year. The colour is white, which reminds us of light, joy, and new beginnings. We hear stories in the Gospels about Jesus appearing to His friends and helping them believe and trust again.
During Easter, we are invited to notice signs of new life around us, in nature, in our friendships, and in the good choices we make. It’s a great time to practise kindness, courage, and gratitude. At the end of the Easter season, we celebrate Pentecost, when the Holy Spirit came to the disciples. This reminds us that God gives us strength to share love and hope with others.
Easter reminds us that God’s love is stronger than anything. It encourages us to bring joy into our classrooms, homes, and playgrounds.
Term Two Liturgical Calendar
Please take a moment to check the Term 2 dates for our Liturgical events. These celebrations are an important part of our faith life, and we look forward to gathering as a community to pray and give thanks during this Easter season.
This term, our Year 6 students prepare for the Sacrament of Confirmation. This is a significant milestone in their faith journey, and we hold them in prayer as they ready themselves for this special moment.
Sacrament of Confirmation will be celebrated on Tuesday 16 June at 5:00pm.
We look forward to a term filled with faith, reflection, and meaningful celebrations for our whole school community.
Yours in Faith,
Kirsten Kirkwood-Yule
