We are looking forward to celebrating the Sacrament of Reconciliation with our Year Three students next Friday. This is a very special milestone in your child’s faith journey, as they experience God’s love, mercy, and forgiveness in a meaningful and personal way.
Reconciliation (also known as Confession or Penance) is the sacrament where we say sorry for the times we have made poor choices and receive God’s forgiveness. It reminds us that no matter what, God always welcomes us back with love.
In the lead-up to the sacrament, students will be exploring:
- The meaning of forgiveness
- How our choices affect others
- Ways we can make things right
- God’s unconditional love and mercy
They will also be guided through the process of Reconciliation so they feel confident and supported on the day.
How families can support at home:
- Talk about forgiveness in everyday situations
- Encourage your child to say sorry and make amends
- Share your own experiences of forgiveness and kindness
- Practice simple prayers together
We encourage families to be part of this journey and to continue these conversations at home.
Please keep our students in your prayers as they prepare for this important step in their faith.
Le míle beannacht,
(with a thousand blessings)
