Stage Struck
Exciting times in Performing Arts this week. On Friday 22nd of May our Musical Excellence Choir competed in the Boroondara Eisteddfod at Hawthorn Arts Centre. Our Choir scored highly for presentation, following the conductor, Dynamics, Pitch and rhythm accuracy. We are so proud of their beautiful rendition of I Still Call Australia Home and a song by Indigenous composer Deborah Cheetham called ‘Parrwang lifts the sky’. The students upheld the school values of Excellence, respect and Responsibility, conducting themselves with decorum and showing kindness to their fellow competitors. We also delighted the bus driver on the trip back to school with the students in high spirits and singing their songs in harmony.
Stagestruck rehearsals are also underway. Tickets are available at Trybooking https://www.trybooking.com/DMHNS
or via the QR code on the posters up around the school.
