On School Grounds
Please be advised, if you enter the school grounds during the school day to drop off/pick up a student or for an appointment, please ensure you present to the School Office first. This is a safety issue, and we need to know you or your child are here in case of an emergency.
Cold & Flu Season/Illness
With the weather changing and coming into the cooler months, cold and flu symptoms and other contagious illnesses start to appear due to more time indoors. In the interest of keeping our school community well we ask if your child is displaying cold, flu or other symptoms of illness, please ensure they are kept home and monitored and return once symptoms have subsided. Symptoms of vomiting and diarrhea must be kept at home and can return to school 48 hours after the last episode. If you are unsure, please do not hesitate to contact the school office.

We will be holding Parent/Teacher Interviews again this week. This is a great opportunity to meet with your child's teacher to discuss their progress throughout the first semester. Notes for an appointment have been sent home. If you have not received a note, please contact the school office. We ask that you indicate three preferences of dates and times that staff are available and we will endeavour to accommodate you. If you are unable to make any of the times indicated, please contact us to arrange another time with your child's teacher.

We will be celebrating NAIDOC Week this week. This year's theme is "50 Years of Deadly" as NAIDOC is now in its 50th year. Yesterday, 12 students in 4/5/6T represented WCPS by attending the NAIDOC Cup at Wallhallow Public School. Tomorrow, we will hold a small ceremony to mark NAIDOC Week with our students, participate in some activities in the classroom and enjoy a cupcake. Our 4/5/6T class will then make their way to Werris Creek Hospital to participate in their acknowledgement of NAIDOC week with a flag raising ceremony and lunch and games with the residents.

School Reports forthe first semester will be distributed this Friday, 3rd July.
