Student Wellbeing and Learning

On-Site Therapy and Classroom Observation Requests
At Greenhills Primary School, we value strong partnerships with families and allied health professionals to support student wellbeing, engagement, and learning.
To ensure that on-site therapy sessions and classroom observations are coordinated effectively, we have a clear process in place for parents, carers, therapists, and school staff.
On-Site Therapy Requests
Parents or guardians who would like a NDIS-funded or privately funded therapist to provide therapy on school grounds are asked to submit a request through the school's application process. Once the completed paperwork is received, the Principal Team will review the request and advise families of the outcome as soon as possible.
Approved providers are required to complete all relevant documentation, including occupational health and safety requirements and licence agreements before therapy can commence. Room availability and scheduling arrangements are also considered to ensure minimal disruption to student learning.
Classroom Observation Requests
Parents or guardians may request for a therapist to observe their child in the classroom. Classroom observations are limited to one observation per school term to minimise disruption to teaching and learning while supporting collaborative planning.
Following receipt of the request, families will be provided with the necessary observation forms, and therapists will be required to complete all school induction and compliance requirements before the observation can be scheduled.
Observations are arranged subject to classroom suitability, room availability, and school operational requirements. Where suitable opportunities are not immediately available, requests may be placed on a waiting list until arrangements can be made.
Supporting Safe and Effective Partnerships
These processes help ensure:
- Student learning remains the priority.
- Classroom observations are conducted in a way that minimises disruption to teaching and learning.
- School spaces are used safely and effectively.
- Therapists meet all compliance and safety requirements.
- Communication between families, therapists, and school staff is clear, consistent, and collaborative.
If you are considering requesting on-site therapy or a classroom observation for your child, please contact the school office for further information and the required documentation.
Thank you for working in partnership with us to support the success and wellbeing of all students.
