Book Week Was A Great Success!
Mother Teresa’s 2026 Book Week drew to a close last Friday with a wonderfully successful Book Week Parade! Thank you to all the students, staff and families who helped make the week such a fun and memorable celebration of reading.
Over the course of the week, our students engaged with various children’s book authors and illustrators, enjoyed a performance from The Flying Bookworm Theatre Company, had an opportunity to read some of the shortlisted books and do a variety of activities around these books. We even had a Scavenger Hunt around the school!
Last Friday, Mother Teresa came alive with colour, creativity and characters as students paraded in costumes inspired by their favourite books. From classic fairy tales to modern-day heroes, the variety of characters on display was truly impressive. It was clear that a lot of thought and effort went into the costumes. Well done to everyone who participated!
The joy on the students’ faces and the excitement throughout the day truly reflected the power of books to inspire and bring people together.
Congratulations to our 'Most Creative Costume' contest winners and to all who joined in the fun. Let’s continue to celebrate the magic of reading every day!
