First Holy Communion Retreat Day and Celebration
First Holy Communion Retreat Day
Today our First Holy Communion candidates participated in a special Retreat Day as they continued their preparation for receiving the Sacrament of the Eucharist.
Throughout the day, students deepened their understanding of the Eucharist and practised receiving Holy Communion. They were also given the opportunity to participate in individual Reconciliation with Father Gallacher, providing a meaningful experience of God's love, forgiveness and mercy. A tour of St Joseph's Church helped students learn more about the sacred spaces and symbols that enrich our celebrations of faith. We thank Father Gallacher for his generosity in sharing his time and wisdom with our students and helping make the day such a memorable and faith-filled experience.
First Holy Communion Mass on Sunday 21st June
This Sunday, 21st June at 4:00pm, our candidates will celebrate their First Holy Communion at St Joseph's Parish. This is a significant milestone in their faith journey as they receive Jesus in the Eucharist for the first time.
We warmly invite members of our school community to attend this special Mass if they are able. If you are unable to join us, we ask that you keep these students and their families in your prayers as they prepare to receive this sacred sacrament. May they continue to grow in faith, love and friendship with Jesus throughout their lives.
