Principal's Update

Dear Parents and Carers,
It’s hard to believe we are three quarters of the way through the year, with another busy and productive term under our belt. Well done to all our families, staff and especially our students for working so hard this term during the long, wet winter months. We have achieved so much this term with some of the highlights being the Prep - Year 2 swimming program, NAIDOC Week activities, Wellbeing Week, Book Week, Bravehearts visit, Student Agency forums, Write A Book In A Day, class excursions, lots of sporting events and all culminating in our fabulous production ‘Forward To The Past’ last week. No wonder we are all looking forward to our holidays! As we begin our holidays, let us pray …
Lord God,
As we reach the end of this term, we thank you for the learning, laughter, and friendships we have shared.
We ask for your protection and grace as we step into this break.
Bless our students, families, and staff with rest, peace, and joyous times together.
Watch over us, guide our steps, and keep us safe in the shelter of your care until we gather again in your name.
Amen.
'Forward To The Past' Production
What a tremendous success our 2026 production was!
We are immensely proud of all our students for their outstanding performances last week—both on stage and behind the scenes. From our lead actors, singers, and dancers to every student who took to the stage, they brought incredible confidence, enthusiasm, and courage. It was truly wonderful to watch them shine.
A special thank you to Deb Holland and Emma Roberts for the extraordinary time, creativity, and energy they poured into bringing this show to life. We also extend our gratitude to Rachael Cahill, Jess Downard, Kascha Blair, and Jodie Hassett for their untiring work behind the scenes to ensure everything ran seamlessly.
Thank you as well to our wonderful families for supporting the students with costumes and filling the audience. Most of all, congratulations to our amazing students—you gave us an unforgettable show!
New Babies
We are thrilled to celebrate several new additions to our school community! Over the past few months, a number of our families have welcomed precious new babies into their hearts and homes. We extend our warmest congratulations to all our growing families on the arrival of their little ones! Welcome to Reggie, brother for Sia (Yr 3), Harry, brother for Lewis (Prep), Kalki, sister for Pirai (Prep), Sebastian, brother for Isabelle (Prep), Kirsten, sister for Matvey (Yr 6) and Kariss (Yr 4) and Ryleigh, sister for Skylah (Yr 6).
Mick’s Return
We are looking forward to officially welcoming Mick back in Week 2 of Term 4. Although we have seen a bit of him the last few weeks, it will be wonderful to have him back with us on a permanent basis!
As we welcome Mick back we farewell Paula for a couple of weeks, she will be taking the first two weeks of Term 4 as Long Service Leave. We wish her exciting adventures as she travels to Italy, France and England.
Year 5 Camp
Our Year 5 students and staff excitedly headed off to Anglesea for camp yesterday morning. All reports so far are that they are having a fabulous time. They will return to school in time for the bell Friday afternoon. We hope they all have a safe and enjoyable time together getting to know each other better and pushing themselves with some of the activities.
Footy Fever / Fun Food Day
On Friday we will have our annual Footy Fever Day where the children can dress up in their footy/netball or other sporting colours. They will participate in some games run by our Yr 6 Sports and Sustainability Leadership Team and will have hot dogs for their Fun Food Day lunch. Please remember to pack fruit and food for second break.
Some Reminders
The first two days of Term 4 will be Pupil Free days whilst all staff are involved in the Collaboration Days with Sacred Heart and St. Brendan’s staff. These days are part of the DOBCEL initiative for the 2025 Strategy 'Pursuing Fullness of Life For All’.
School finishes on Friday at 2:15pm for the end of the term.
Have a wonderful and safe break everyone and we look forward to welcoming our students back on Wednesday, 7th October.
