Swimming

Our first week of swimming has been a fantastic start! The children were excited to get into the pool and did a wonderful job listening carefully to instructions, following routines and practising their swimming skills. It was lovely to see everyone challenging themselves and growing in confidence as they became more comfortable in the water. The children showed great enthusiasm and a positive attitude throughout their lessons, making it a wonderful first week. We are so proud of their efforts and look forward to seeing their swimming skills, independence and confidence continue to develop over the next week. 

Integrated- My special place

We have begun an exciting new Integrated topic, My Special Place. Children have explored what makes a place special to them and discussed the places that are meaningful in their lives. Students shared their ideas about their chosen special place, describing what it looks like and identifying the features that make it unique and important to them. They enjoyed listening to one another’s ideas and discovering that everyone has different places that hold special memories and meaning. Students created their own maps of a special place, carefully drawing and labelling its key features. It has been great to see students making personal connections to our new topic and expressing their ideas through discussion, drawing and mapping.
