SSV STATE CHAMPIONS!

LOWANNA COLLEGE ARE STATE CHAMPIONS! 

What an incredible achievement by our Senior AFL boys, who have dominated the SSV State Final to run out 125–23 winners and claim the SSV State Championship!

This is a truly historic moment for Lowanna College — our first SSV State title in more than 20 years! 

From the opening bounce, the boys showed incredible pressure, discipline, teamwork and determination, putting together a dominant performance on the biggest stage.

Keenan was awarded Best on Ground for an outstanding performance, while Noah, Kaiden, Alex, Darcy, Lachlan and Caleb all made major contributions throughout the game. But this victory was built on every single player playing their role beautifully. From the first bounce to the final siren, the team played for each other, competed relentlessly and represented Lowanna with enormous pride.

A huge thank you must also go to Assistant Coach Scott McDougal, Malcolm Swinley and Coach Allan Chandler for their enormous contribution to this group. Because success isn't just about what happens on the field. It takes a village to get the best out of young athletes. The relationships, conversations, standards, support, preparation and work that happen away from game day are just as important as what happens between the white lines. Scott, Malcolm and Allan have all played a significant role in helping these young men become better athletes, but more importantly, better people.

A massive congratulations to all of our players, coaches, staff, families and supporters who have been part of this incredible journey.
