Our Catholic Community

#bustthedust

A bunch of country kids at St John's Parish School in Trangie,  were struggling to find the perfect way to help out in the drought...until now! They have thrown out a challenge to all students across NSW to have a dance off and #bustthedust.

On Friday 13th December, we are joining in their rain dance. At lunchtime, we will come together, K-10,  to bust a move and help  #bustthedust.

What better way to lift the spirits of people in need while this drought heads into the festive season, than with a rain dance to cheer up those doing it tough!

Please bring a gold coin donation to support the Vinnies Bushfire Appeal.

Graduation Mass and Farewell

ACYF 2019 Perth

We have 13 very excited and slightly tired pilgrims in Perth for the Australian Catholic Youth Festival. We are minutes away from departing our hotel to walk to the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre, where we will join over 5500 young people for our final day of celebration, praise and prayer. We have been encouraged to listen to what the spirit is saying, in its many forms and have heard of amazing stories featuring the Holy Spirit.

Our Phillies contingent were quiet and contemplative on the first day. Taking in all that was surrounding them and joining in the plenary sessions morning and evening. On day two, they had warmed up to the experience and were thirsty to make conscious decisions as to the workshops they wanted to attend. Many made it to the Expo and met with lots and lots of people from around Australia and learnt about the vast and diverse faith backgrounds we have here. Highlight to date was meeting Joe Melendrez!

As we prepare to depart for our final closing Mass and pilgrimage along the beautiful river, I know this experience will be unlike any other these young people will ever experience again.

Junior Josephite Association

Yesterday students involved in the JJA's had their end of year break up party.

Thank you to all students involved and especially Sr Margaret who has taken time to meet with the JJAs throughout the year.
