Grade Three Snapshot

Dear Parents,   

We are delighted with the students commitment to joining their small group Reading and Maths groups. This interaction enables teachers to explicitly focus on a particular skill and through discussion, examples and student responses they can provide instant feedback and support and enhance student learning. 

A strong feature of our grade 3 home learning is the opportunity for wellbeing and reflection. We encourage all students to participate in, and work on the weekly tasks prepared by Ms Chadwick. We know that many students are continuing to practise strategies she shared last term. The Friday reflection page of two 'High 5's and a Question Mark' is an important way for students to think about their learning through the week and highlight two successes, and identify any concerns or questions they have about a particular curriculum area. By honestly writing and explaining these, teachers are able to offer supportive strategies.
