ANZAC DAY SERVICE

On Friday 24th April, members of the Waverley RSL Sub-Branch come to CRPS to conduct a special ANZAC Day service.

ANZAC Day is our National Day of Remembrance honouring the service and sacrifice of Australians and New Zealanders in all wars, conflicts and peacekeeping operations. It is an opportunity to stop and reflect on the dedication of all our veteran and service community, and the families who support them.

Lest we forget.

Breakfast Club

Our Camelot Rise Breakfast club commenced last Tuesday 21st April and its been a huge success!

This would not have been possible without the generous support and cash donations from the Lions Clubs of Mount Waverley, Vermont and Vermont South.

Lin Byron, Rod Harrison, and Bernard Fazakerley from the various branches of Lions Club have provided our school with the funds needed to facilitate our breakfast club.

Due to their outstanding generosity, our breakfast club now has a dishwasher, chest freezer, microwave and fruit bowls for each classroom.  We also have three toasters, a blender and a number of other items to run a breakfast club.

Thank you so much to the Lions Clubs of Mount Waverley, Vermont and Vermont South for their amazing support of our school!

Members of these Lions Club will join us in the near future, to come and see our breakfast club in operation and meet our students.

We have had over 67 students and their siblings attend on the first two days, starting their day with a healthy breakfast with Mrs Sandford-Ricci.

Children are offered toast with various spreads and cereal with milk and fresh fruit - all of which are delivered and provided for by Foodbank.

When they are finished they can play giant sized Tetris, Ten Pin Bowling, Trouble, Twister and Playing Cards.  All of these games were also provided by the three Lions Clubs branches.

The Breakfast Club is open to all students at Camelot Rise Primary School every Tuesday and Thursday morning from 8am to 8.45 am.

Looking forward to seeing you there.

Wild Action Incursion

From Monday 27th April to Friday 1st May, students from Grades 1 to 6 have the exciting opportunity to take part in a Wild Action Incursion! This engaging, hands-on experience will bring a variety of fascinating animals right to our school, allowing students to see and even touch them up close.

Throughout the sessions, students will explore a range of scientific topics including body coverings, animal classification, diets, and unique adaptations. Each workshop is tailored to align with the Science curriculum at every year level, making learning both meaningful and memorable.

It will be a fantastic week filled with curiosity, discovery, and unforgettable encounters with wildlife!
