Visual Arts Term 3
ART SHOW - WEDNESDAY 21ST OCTOBER
The art show projects are well underway in the art room, and the excitement is building. Our students have been busy learning new skills and applying these to their masterpieces. Our art show parent team is also working hard behind the scenes to put together a fabulous community evening. We cannot wait to showcase the artworks to the school and wider community. Please save the date for the art show.
KINDER PARTNERSHIPS
Miss Liolios and I have been busy visiting the local kindergartens as part of our kinder partnerships program. We are going to display these kinder artworks in our school's art show. Our St Joseph’s students have created incredible under-the-sea backgrounds for the fish to go onto.
MEET OUR ART CAPTAIN - NICHOLAS
Nicholas was away a few weeks ago when we did our art captain introductions. Here is a little bit about Nicholas…
Hi, my name is Nicholas. I became an art captain because I like the art show and I want to be a leader. My favourite artist is Leonardo Da Vinci. He was an artist and an engineer! I’m excited to be leading the art show this year.
ART CLUB
Don’t forget Art Club is on Tuesdays at second break.
ART CLASSES OUTSIDE OF SCHOOL
There are a number of our students who have expressed an interest in attending co-curricular art classes outside of school. Here are a couple of studios that I highly recommend. My daughters have attended these and absolutely loved them. Both studios run regular sessions along with holiday programs.

About Céramiques
Our humble studios are your new second home. Céramiques studios are wheel-based ceramic workshops, dedicated to providing a tranquil, free-flowing space to cultivate creativity and relaxation. Spaces for you to explore pottery, develop your wheel work skills, and discover the thrill of turning a chunk of clay into a delicate, beautiful piece.

Our Junior and Young Artists classes introduce children to the joy of art through colour, texture, and imagination.
Students explore painting, drawing, sculpture, collage and mixed media while developing coordination, observation, and confidence in their creative expression.
