Queensland University - New Pathway to Medicine from 2027

 

From 2027, the UQ Medical School will be offering a new 6-year pathway to becoming a doctor. The Bachelor of Medical Science / Doctor of Medicine program will allow students to enter the medical workforce as doctors at least 1 year earlier than other study pathways at UQ. This vertical dual program is ideal for high school students who want to progress quickly into the UQ Doctor of Medicine. It offers excellent preparation for the UQ Doctor of Medicine, helping students develop the knowledge, skills and values expected of modern healthcare professionals.

Applications for Entry in 2027

 

 

Current domestic Year 12 students who intend applying directly to ANU for an Early Offer for undergraduate study in 2027 are advised that direct applications open on Wednesday 11 March 2026, and close on Friday 8 May 2026. Early offers are released in September each year. Students can start their applications at any time and log back in, as needed, to complete the process.  

 

The Early Offer application to ANU will prompt applicants to provide specific documentation, students are advised to read through the Application Information before applying at Applying to ANU

       New Digital Marketing & Advertising                                   Course in 2027

 

 

Deakin is excited to be introducing the Bachelor of Digital Marketing and Advertising, the only degree of its kind offered by an Australian university. 

 

Students will study consumer psychology and business analytics while building their advertising craft – from copywriting and art direction to social media content and brand communication. Using industry tools, emerging technologies and how to ethically engage with AI tools that drive today’s digital economy, students will think strategically, create compelling content and deliver it across digital platforms. 

 

The VCE entry prerequisites are Units 3 & 4: a study score of at least 25 in English EAL (English as an Additional Language) or at least 20 in English other than EAL.

University Clinical Aptitude Test 

 

The University Clinical Aptitude Test (UCAT) is an admissions test used by the UCAT ANZ Consortium of universities in Australia and New Zealand for their medical, dental, and clinical science degree programs. Universities requiring the UCAT are listed at this link - Universities requiring the UCAT but also listed below.  

 

Students intending to apply for courses requiring the UCAT at any of these universities are reminded that they will need to book a test. Students who are preparing for entry into any of these courses are encouraged to familiarise themselves with the format of the test at UCAT Test Format and the practice tests and preparation material provided at

UCAT Preparation when available.

 

Bookings will open on 3 March 2026 and close 15 May 2026. Testing dates will run from 1 July 2026 to 5 August 2026. Find out more at UCAT.

Bachelor of Circus Arts

 

The Bachelor of Circus Arts is designed to educate, develop and nurture highly skilled contemporary circus artists who can work as independent artists or as members of an ensemble and pursue careers in the national and global circus industry. The Bachelor of Circus is taught at the National Institute of Circus Arts (NICA) - an internationally renowned Centre of Excellence based in Melbourne.
