SPORT NEWS 

A huge thank you and congratulations to everyone who has been involved in our many sporting events this term. From students, to parents, to staff and families...Holy Trinity has had a huge 10 weeks of sport and some amazing results throughout.

Congratulations to our 4 teams who travelled to Armidale last week to compete in the New England Schools Futsal Titles. We had some amazing performances from our 10 year Boys and 10 Year Girls teams and it was such a huge opportunity for our younger students to represent Holy Trinity. Our 12 year boys team were unfortunate to go down in their semi final after leading early in the match, however they showed some brilliant teamwork throughout the day. Our amazing 12 year girls team won their grand final, taking home the trophy after a close Grand Final. They had some amazing individual performances, played brilliantly as a team and were clearly the best team on the day. Well done girls.

Our secondary touch players competed at the Armidale Catholic Schools Dio Trials last Thursday, held at the Complex. Holy Trinity were once again the best represented school, with 2 x 15 boys, 2 x 15 girls, 1 x 18 boys and 1 x 18 girls teams challenging themselves against other schools from the area.

A huge congratulations to the following students for their selection in the Dio team to travel to the Central Coast in Term 2:

18 Girls: Kendall Baker & Madyson Higgins

15 Boys: Cooper Nelson, Flynn Ellis-Brien and Beau Butcher 

15 Girls: Grace Doyle, Callie Sterling, Savannah Golding and Demi Goldman

A final reminder we have our Primary (2-6) and Secondary Cross Country Carnivals in Week 1 next term, so be sure to get plenty of training in the holidays.
