Term 1 Wrap-Up

It has been a productive period across our classrooms. Observing students engaged in their daily routines, it is clear that the effort to establish calm and structured learning environments is showing results. Our focus remains on ensuring every classroom is a space where students are calm, focused, and ready to learn.

Our approach is guided by the Living Well, Learning Well framework, designed to bring coherence to student support across the domains of faith, wellbeing, and positive behaviour.

To better understand our progress, students in Years 3–6 recently participated in a survey. The data indicates that our students recognise the value of their learning and feel supported by staff within our collaborative environments. This feedback is essential as we continue to refine our classroom practices.

Our recent family conferences provided an important opportunity to discuss student progress. We appreciate the continued partnership with our families, particularly in maintaining a high regard for the work of the school. Supporting attendance, which is directly linked to successful learning outcomes and fostering a literacy-rich home environment.

Learning at our school takes many forms - from teacher-directed instruction to independent problem-solving. We thank our staff for their steady commitment to providing these opportunities throughout the term.

We commend our students on a successful Term 1, marked by academic effort, participation in sport, and the building of new friendships. We wish all students and families a safe and restful holiday break. We look forward to a settled return for Term 2.

Living Well Learning Well Awards

Starting this year, our AP Awards have transitioned to a new name: the Living Well Learning Well Awards. For Term 1, our primary focus has been on cultivating respect for others through positive daily actions. To earn this recognition, students are encouraged to be active members of our school team by attending regularly and greeting others with a friendly, positive attitude. Demonstrating respect also means being a good listener, choosing the right words and tone for conversations, and caring for our environment and ourselves. By being helpful problem-solvers and knowing when to take time out to settle, our students embody the core message that everyone in our community is valued, respected, and cared for.

Congratulations to the students who received these Term 1 awards:

We ask that all correspondence with staff is via the Compass portal.

If you would like to speak with the classroom teacher, please arrange a mutually convenient time to meet or leave a message at the front office for the teacher to get back to you.
