Well, well, well! What a fabulous Scholastic Book Fair it was! It gives me great pleasure to announce that the Book Fair total was a fantastic $8,375 ($160 more than last year!)

To everyone who came to the Book Fair and went home with a book, a poster or a fluffy diary, thank you for your support. Kingswood Primary School earns a percentage of the total amount spent on the Fair and traditionally we have taken this in the form of cash. However, this year we are taking our percentage of the Fair in Scholastic Rewards Points, which means we have earned a fabulous total of $2,512 in points for all the teachers to use for resources and books for the classrooms and library.

A heart felt thank you to all the parent helpers (listed below) who gave up a bit of their time to make the Book Fair such a success. We could not host a Book Fair without this wonderful help. A very special mention to Diana (Matteo 1S, Luca 4F) for coordinating the roster of volunteers and being a great support and help throughout the fair.

Next Wednesday, 14th of August, we are welcoming the wonderful Australian author, Coral Vass, to Kingswood.  She will be speaking to all the students about how she writes her books and finds inspiration for her ideas. The Year 5 and 6 students will be having a Writers Workshop with Coral.
