Our mantra at St Mary's is "READING IS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO COOL"

FUNKY FRUIT REWARD

Students are encouraged to bring their library bags in on Wednesday or Thursday (depending on their borrowing day) to have a chance at winning the funky fruit reward for the week. Week 4 winner was Thomas (Year 4) who won "Candy the Candy Melon" and the Week 5 winner of  "Rosie the Rockmelon" was Lola (Kinder).

LIBRARY DAYS

Borrowing will occur during library lessons to give the students more focused time to engage with library borrowing. Students must have a library bag with them on borrowing days. 

Please refer to the list below to see which day your child/ren will need to bring their library bags and return any books that are due in order to borrow new books.

BOOK CLUB

The catalogue for Issue 2 of the Scholastic Book Club has been sent home with students. Orders will close Thursday 26 March 2026. 

Premier's Reading Challenge 

The Premier's Reading Challenge (PRC) began on Monday 23 February and runs until 18 September 2026. We are currently unable to access the challenge website due to technical delays in setting up access for co-ordinators and students, but have been assured this will be done soon. 

In the meantime there is nothing stopping your child from starting to read and log what they've read for the challenge. While this will become more accessible once we have student logins, please keep note at home of what has been read (you can include any books that have been read since the challenge closed last year).
