School Opening 2024

Office Hours January

The office will be open for the following days and times for enrolment enquiries, submission of required enrolment documents or any questions regarding the beginning of the school year.

Tuesday 23rd - Thursday 24th: 9:30am - 3pm

Tuesday 30th: 9:30am - 3pm

Wednesday 31st January onwards: 8:45am - 4:15pm

Booklist Collection

Books ordered through JP Books with school pick-up will be available for collection on Wednesday 24th January from 9:30am - 4:30pm. Book collection will be from the Resource Centre. This will be signposted on the day.

Students First Day

All students will begin on Wednesday 31st January. Class commences at 9am. It is asked that all students arrive to school by 8:50am. Finish time for Wednesday's is 2:50pm.

Key details:

• Full school uniform must be worn. No classes will have PE so all students should be in our everyday uniform. refer to the uniform page of the newsletter.
• Students should bring their laptops, some of their exercise books, their pencil case, water bottles and food (lunch and snack - we do not have a canteen).
• On arrival students will be directed to the Learning Neighbourhood where they will be shown to their first class by College staff.
• Parents are to drop their child of at the gate, or front office by prior arrangement.

Official School Opening, Welcome to Country & Smoking Ceremony

The official opening of Brinbeal Secondary College will take place on Wednesday 31st January at 2:00PM with the Deputy Premier and Minister for Education, Ben Carroll MP and local Member of Parliament. Parents are invited to join us for this event.  

Brinbeal Secondary College acknowledges the Bunurong Peoples’ of the Kulin Nation as Traditional Owners and Custodians of the land on which our school is built. We have invited members of the Bunurong Land Council to Brinbeal Secondary College to conduct a Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony. Families are invited to join us for this Ceremony. 

When: Wednesday 31st January at 2:00pm (parents can arrive from 1:45pm)

Where: Brinbeal Secondary College Basketball Courts

Duration: approximately  1 hour.
