Specialist's Say

Science

This term, the Preps are studying all things weather as part of their Biological Science unit. They have been very busy sharing their ideas about the weather and seasons, conducting experiments to see how clouds produce rain and they are collecting the rain totals each fortnight with our rain gauge that we have set up in the veggie garden. I am happy to report that last week our total for the term was a welcome 61mm. The Preps enthusiasm and excitement to learn each fortnight is a real highlight for me.

The Year 1s, 3s and 5s are all partaking in Physical Sciences, with the 1's learning about 'sound and light', the 3's  are exploring 'heat' and the 5's are learning about 'light'. There have been many fun experiments and discoveries.

A huge thank you to everyone who was able to donate some bottles to top up my supplies, in particular to Ashton Gordon who was able to secure and deliver around 200!
