Dear Parents and Carers,
I wanted to start this week by saying a very big thank you to everyone who recognised Principal’s Day last week.
As some of you would have noticed it was Principal's Day Last Friday, a lovely sign appeared on the green building recognising the day along with some posters with our faces on them scatted around the school.
Myself, Jane and Sam are incredibly grateful for the messages from staff, students and families last Friday. The most rewarding part was the students who kept coming up to us throughout the day to say "Happy Principal's Day" it put a smile on our faces and reminded us exactly why we come to work. We were then completely caught out by a surprise assembly at the end of the day, where we received our very own CHEER value awards. We had absolutely no idea, and it meant a great deal.
If I'm honest, though, the credit belongs just as much to the people alongside me. I'm fortunate to work with two exceptional Assistant Principals in Jane and Sam. Between them they carry an enormous amount of dedication to their roles and have played a central role in leading many of the changes across our school over the past few years, particularly in teaching and learning and wellbeing. They deserve a huge amount of credit for the incredible impact we are now beginning to see.
Leading a school is very much a team effort, and I feel lucky to do it alongside them, and alongside a staff and community who make this such a good place to work.
