Year 3 Science Inquiry display
On Wednesday after school there was an opportunity for parents to view their child's science inquiry question and presentation in the Year 3 classrooms after school.
Year 1 Water Inquiry
We were supposed to go on an excursion to Darebin Wetlands but as it was pouring rain Ranger Peter brought the Wetlands to us. He shared a selection of bugs and animals living in Darebin waterways.
We investigated trays of water from the creek and identified different bugs. Did you know that dragonfly lavae breathe through their butts?
An amazing fact that we learnt about the local eel.
It will travel all the way from Darebin waterways to the Coral Sea at the top of Australia to lay their eggs. That’s over 3,000km, after their birth they travel all the way back down on the tides🌊!! Amazing 🤯
