Principal's Post

Dear Families,
What a wonderful turnout we had for our Mother's Day Breakfast on Friday morning. It was heartwarming to see so many of our wonderful St James Mums being celebrated by their kids. We did not allow the damp weather to dampen our celebrations!
Thank you so much to James Wingate and his team of volunteers, Dan Savoia, David Unkles, Nick Rogers, Dan Moylan, Chris Harvey, Dustin Archer, John Soccio, David Boal, Stefan Festa, Tom Wursthorn (and Tobias for setup) Sam Tang, Kenny Tirtawidjaja and David Dean Blom for organising and facilitating the breakfast so smoothly. Thanks to Anita Dell'Orso and Antoinette Moroney and the admin team for decorating the space, Emir and Lisa for all of the back end work with the orders and advertising, to Vanessa Lim for providing the flowers and making it so inviting for our Mums, Mamo House for raffle prize donations and Clemi Kohombanwickremage for organising the raffle (which raised over $1000). What a magnificent team effort!
The Mother's Day Gift Stall was also a great success with all children finding a suitable gift for their mums. Thanks to Jess Savoia and Cate Pigeault for coordinating the gifts, and Clemi K , Prue Bain and Nina Christina for also helping out setting up the stall and helping the students with their purchases.
Congratulations to the winners of Mother's Day Raffle:

Our Preps led us in a wonderful, reflective, reverent and very cute prayer service on Friday afternoon. Their reading, singing and action skills were on display in fine form. It's hard to believe they have only been at school for approximately 55 days!
Thanks to our prep staff who prepared this lovely celebration of our mums.
