Let’s Fight MND
WOW !!!!
What an effort ASPS !!!
As you know AFL icon and tireless motor neurone disease (MND) campaigner Neale Daniher passed away at the age of 65, following a courageous 13-year battle with the disease.
He leaves behind an extraordinary legacy, having spearheaded the Fight MND foundation and its iconic Big Freeze fundraiser. As a collective, we had a free dress day at school today to raise money for this important cause.
The fund raiser was spear headed by Rosie (1C) (Neale’s Grand Daughter) and Ms Byrnes her teacher.
Congratulations ASPS. We raised a GRAND total of $844.50!!
What a great effort to support a great cause.
Art Request
The Year 4s are starting a piece of art made from found objects and recycling and they have a few requests. If you have any of the following at home that you could spare it would be put to good use:
- Fake grass offcuts/samples
- Paper towel rolls
- Wires
- Mesh/netting
- Soft drink can (washed)
- Lids from milk bottle/orange juice etc
- Small lids
- Balloon
- Rice
- Toothpicks
We are trying to make artworks from repurposed items with a minimum of items (tape, glue, paint etc) supplied by the art room to be innovative and sustainable artists!
