We are incredibly grateful to Foodbank for their generous donation of fresh fruit to our students each Wednesday. Every classroom has been provided with a fruit basket, ensuring students have easy access to a healthy snack throughout the day.

Our Junior School Council members are playing an important role in this initiative, refilling baskets when supplies run low.

Foodbank is Australia's largest hunger relief charity, providing food assistance to people experiencing hardship across the country. In Victoria alone, Foodbank helps feed more than 76,000 people in need every day. We thank Foodbank for their ongoing support!

Our Foundation students and teachers took a giant leap into the future yesterday as they celebrated 100 Days of Prep! To mark this special milestone, students arrived dressed as 100-year-olds, complete with grey wigs, glasses, walking sticks, cardigans and plenty of smiles.

The celebrations continued with a pizza lunch and a range of fun activities throughout the day. The occasion provided a wonderful opportunity for students to reflect on just how much they have learned and achieved during their first 100 days of school.

Our Grade 1 and 2 students kicked off their four-week karate program last week, and the enthusiasm has been fantastic to see! Students have already learned essential blocks, kicks, and punches, as well as how to count in Japanese. Students have also enjoyed discovering the history and origins of karate as part of the program. Thank you to Natsuko and Gabriel from Karyukai Karate for giving our students the opportunity to learn these valuable new skills.

Karyukai Karate is generously offering Toorak Primary School students one FREE month of karate training. Students who visit the Karyukai Karate studio at 40 Fitzgerald Street, South Yarra and mention that they attend Toorak Primary School will be eligible for this special offer.

The Melbourne Football Visited TPS

Students in Year 6 last week enjoyed a visit from AFL Melbourne football players. Students had the opportunity to ask the players all kinds of questions, from what they eat; to how they train to their favourite sports and the AFL teams they supported when they were younger. The players answered every question, and signed autographs for everyone in the room.  The MFC also provided FREE AFLW Melbourne Football Club Tickets to our TPS community. Scan the QR code to access tickets to 3 Dees home games at either Casey Fields an IKON Park. Go Dee's!
